Welcome to one of the village on the outskirts of Marseille, at the gates of Aubagne between la Treille, dear to Marcel Pagnol, and Eoures.
It welcomes for beautiful walks on the trail of Marcel Pagnol, the Spa of Camoins-les-Bains or popped a source called aigo dou good God, the Thalassotherapy of the four seasons, Le Château de ma Mère, the market of Aubagne, chiggers of Allauch, the port of Cassis... and it talked Marseillais!

The history of the Camoins

A lay brother of the order of Saint-Dominique, of the convent of Marseille, named Jean CAMOINS gets permission to leave the cloister. Vows have been broken, he married, and as it was helpless in its new State, he addressed his former colleagues for permission to live with his family a part of the Dominican and he enlisted to clear.
In Exchange for this paternal gesture, the Dominicans exaggerate an annual fee of two heminae tuzelle *.
It is therefore an act of generosity that gave life to this corner of our city that Marcel PAGNOL will celebrate.

These three sons built their homes around their father. This was the first nucleus of this ancient village called the bastides of the CAMOINS
In 1630 it had 636 inhabitants.

Remote 12 Km 800 from Marseille centre, 112 m above sea level, the village develops as the coming of a branch of the grand canal from the Durance allows agriculture to develop. It then becomes the only wealth of this terroir.
Since the cross of the baths to the Penne Camoins road, these are only meadows, fruit trees (Apple, pear, cherry), wheat fields and vineyards.
